CAMBr Chapter Trail Conditions
|
|
Early afternoon ride today -- sunny and low 30's. Surface was mostly hard packed clay, with occasional thin top layer of wet leaves and some muck. Slight fouling of treads, useless traction on downhill lines w/ curves (notwithstanding my lousy tire choice). Over the handlebars on Cemetery Hill -- what new?
"Use Caution" and have a time.

The trails were great this morning after a night of temperatures below freezing. I was out there at dawn. Everything was good.
Something's going on out there with the park district. There's a new "no paintball" sign in the second lot, and the fire road out to Jackrabbit was significantly widened recently.
Didn't see downed trees on the trail anywhere (except the usual ones).
11/1/08 - West side yellow loop....3 foot high tree down on the section near Quentin and Lake-Cook blocking the trail.
